SOLON, Ohio (January 23, 2005) – Stopol, Inc., a leader in arranging the acquisition and sale of production equipment and machinery, businesses, divisions, product lines, and manufacturing licenses in the plastics industry, will host an auction of surplus assets from discontinued operations at four different NexPak Corp. U.S. facilities February 3 and broadcast the day-long event on its new interactive auction website.

Beginning at 12 p.m. (EST) February 3, Stopol will conduct a live auction at NexPak’s closed Tucson, Ariz., facility. Stopol also will webcast the Tucson auction on www.stopolauctions.com so that bidders from all over the world can participate in the event using their PCs. When this event concludes, Stopol will consecutively hold webcast auctions at three other NexPak facilities – Duluth, Ga.; Canton, Ohio; and Clackamas, Ore. Unlike Tucson, there will be no on-site bidding at these three facilities. The three webcast auctions will be displayed on a large screen at the Tucson location, enabling attendees to view and bid on the available items. On-site previews will be held February 2 at each of the four locations.

NexPak -- the market leader in manufacturing and supplying standard and custom packaging for DVD, CD, video, audio and professional media formats -- recently consolidated many of its production facilities to bolster its efficiency and curtail costs. As a result of this initiative, the Uniontown, Ohio-based company, which employs more than 800 people at six global operations in the United States and Europe, consulted with Stopol to help it divest its surplus assets through auction.

The second event held on the Solon-based company’s new www.stopolauctions.com website, the NexPak auction will feature more than 45 late-model injection molding machines manufactured by some of the most widely recognized brand names in the industry, including Nissei, Cincinnati Milacron, Sumitomo and Netstal. A large quantity of ancillary plastics and toolroom equipment also will be available. For a comprehensive listing of all available items, directions to the auction or more information on auction rules and terms of sale, please visit the auction index on www.stopol.com.

“Stopol is looking to capitalize on the success of our first online auction and continue building the momentum generated by that inaugural event,” said Stopol CEO Neil Kruschke Jr. “What better way to energize the industry and further illustrate the efficiency and value of using the Internet to buy equipment than to conduct and webcast a live auction featuring equipment from four different facilities. The Feb. 3 event will allow everyone in the plastics industry to witness the ease in using and unlimited potential of www.stopolauctions.com.”

On Dec. 8-9, nearly 500 www.stopolauctions.com registered users from eight countries bid on millions of dollars in new and used plastics processing equipment and accessories at the OEMs Year-End Inventory Reduction Sale – the first online auction hosted by Stopol.

On November 23, Stopol launched www.stopolauctions.com, an interactive, online marketplace that allows members to buy and sell new and used plastics equipment and other assets. The only auction website dedicated exclusively to the plastics industry, www.stopolauctions.com offers industry executives and plant managers the opportunity to experience the competitive atmosphere and dynamics of an auction without leaving their office, 24/7, 365 days a year.

Registered members of www.stopolauctions.com may pay for their purchases through a company check, money order, certified check, wire transfer or credit card. Registration to www.stopolauctions.com is free, and nominal fees are charged only for equipment that is bought or sold on the site.
