SOLON, Ohio (September 13, 2005) – Stopol, Inc. is seeking donations for a fund it has created to benefit people and plastics industry businesses along the Gulf Coast that have been battered by Hurricane Katrina.

The Solon, Ohio-based company -- which is a leader in arranging the acquisition and sale of production equipment and machinery, businesses, divisions, product lines, and manufacturing licenses in the plastics industry – has established the Stopol Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund at National City Bank to aid those impacted by the recent deadly storm that hit New Orleans and surrounding areas.

Stopol, which launched the fund by donating $10,000, has nearly 400 clients located in or near the effected area.

“I’ve tried calling some of our clients down along the Gulf Coast to see what we could do to help but the communication has been spotty at best,” said Neil Kruschke Jr., Stopol CEO. “To my knowledge, there is no regional industry group down there to organize and manage a national effort, so we’re just trying to do anything we can to help with the recovery.”

In addition to establishing a fund designed specifically for those in the plastics industry, Stopol also will indefinitely suspend for those residing in effected areas the 10% commission fee it customarily charges clients.

“In addition to contributing dollars, we really believe that helping businesses and people get back on their feet is vital to a full recovery for the area,” Kruschke said. “I was watching a program on CNN in which health care professionals were discussing the mental toll that this tragedy is having on people and how clinical depression over a lack of hope can be devastating to the healing process. They said one of the best ways to combat this is through work and a return to some semblance of normal life.

“That’s exactly what we are hoping to do,” he added.

Contributions to the Stopol Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund can be made at any National City Bank branch.
